NAM Summit Proved West's Claims against Iran as False

Speaking in an interview with Press TV on Sunday, Ramin Mehmanparast said the summit in Tehran was one of the most successful Non-Aligned Movement heads of state summits ever held.

In further comments, the foreign ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said the final statement approved unanimously by the heads of state dealt with all the important regional and international issues of concern, and was expertly drawn up.

The foreign ministry spokesman added: “Western media tried very hard to portray the summit in Tehran as unimportant or irrelevant, but the very fact that Western countries were putting pressure on presidents and heads of state of many countries, urging them not to attend the Tehran summit, shows how important the Non-Aligned Movement summit in Tehran was.

Mehmanparast added: “The successful holding of the 16th Non-Aligned Movement Heads of State summit in Tehran, with many top officials and heads of state in attendance, showed to the world that Western claims about Iran’s so-called ‘isolation’, and their claims about lack of security in Iran, were totally false and bogus”?.
