Interview with Martyr Mohammad Reza Khakpour's Sister:

My Mother didn't Shed Tears for the Martyrdom of her Only Son

Navideshahed: "My brother always reminded us of Hijab; even in his letters when in Sarpol Zahab, he specifically emphasized on it," said Fatima Khakpour, sister to Marty Mohammad Reza Khakpour.

Fatima Khakpour, the sister of martyr Mohammad Reza Khakpour in an exclusive interview with the reporter of Epic Culture Service of Iranian Student’s News Agency (ISNA) regarding her brother said: “Mohammad Reza was born in 1960 in Hamedan city and by the beginning of Islamic Revolution conflicts along with Haj Seyed Mohammad Hussein Fazeliyan, the Friday Imam of Malayer city and Ali Agha Mohammadi, the former member of the Islamic Parliament for Hamedan city and the member of the Expedency Council and Seyed Ahmad Ghazmi, the general manager of Tehran Statistic Registration Center that are considered as the revolutionary agents of Hamedan city also did some activities against Pahlavi’s regime. At that time Mola Jalil Mosque was a place for their gathering.

Mohammad Reza after the victory of Islamic Revolution went to the military service and after accomplishing his military service, he went to the battlefields of Iran-Iraq war voluntarily, though he was the only male of the family and he was the guardian of the family as well. My father passed away a few months before the Imposed War Era. My brother would always recommend us to perform the Islamic veil, even he would write letters from Sare Pole Zahab and would emphasize on this issue and he would make us remind this matter that we must never forget performing our prayers and we must listen to the words and speeches of Imam Khomeini so well.”?

My brother was martyred In March 1981 and as Hamid Reza Haji Babaei, the Education Minister and one of the comrades of Mohammad Reza says, they would rest in the same rifle pit, suddenly the war zone had been bombarded by the Iraqi forces and my brother was martyred a rocket that had hit their rifle pit.”?

Although my mother loved Mohammad Reza so much, but after his martyrdom she did not wear the black dresses and she did not cry in tears for him during his funeral procession, because she felt that if she cries in tears, she will ruin the morale of those mothers whose children were serving in the battlefields.”?

The pure body of martyr Mohammad Reza Khakpour was buried in the public graveyard of Hamedan.
