This Time I will Become a Martyr

Six days before adopting resolution 598 by Iran and under the condition that the Iraqi forces benefited from the intensive weakening of Iranian forces morale, they attacked Khorramshahr once again and they advanced to the threshold of taking the control of this city completely; in fact during this operation Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) had started an operation named Froghe Jawidan.

The MKO forces that were about 5000 armed forces in the form of 32 brigades (each brigade 150 person) started attacking against in Iran in 1988 in order to capture Tehran within three days.

Masoud Rajavi at the night of beginning the military operation said: According to the divisions which have been done in this field, we will arrive to Tehran within 48 hours…

The work that we want to do is in the power and level of a superpower; because only a superpower can do such a great work within this short period of time…

You should not be afraid of Nozhe military base too; I demand that the Iraqi aircrafts to come there every three hours to bombard it. We will target the Tabriz military base every three hours by the aircrafts as well…

In addition to that, we have access to anti-air weapons and the missile Sam 7… The Iraqi air force will accompany the MEK forces up to Sare Pole Zahab. You should not be worried about the air support at all; because the Iraqi aircrafts will support us and all the machines will move in column forms.

The military operation Mirsad started on July 27, 1988 and only 72 hours was required that all the false illusions of Masoud to be ruined forever.

The commandership of Mirsad military operation was done by Ali Sayad Shirazi that eventually after this great victory reached his long-term ambition and wish which was martyrdom.

This operation lasted for three days; the first day of the operation, the Iranian forces aimed to stop the enemy from advancement and on the second day the movement of the ground force took placed which it was followed up with the support of air force and ground force and on the third day the military units of MKO were fully damaged.

Eventually this operation was ended up with the killing of 2000 persons and captivity of 250 persons from the enemy forces.

In fact Mirsad operation or the military operation Froghe Jawidan was a great pride for the eight year war of the Iran-Iraq war era. It was a great victory for the defense and resistance of the Iranian champion nation and it was a failure for the MKO forces under the support of the Iraqi Baathist forces and the air force of the Iraq.

On the anniversary of Mirsad Operation, the Iranian Student’s News Agency decided to introduce the martyr students of this great operation.

Martyr Bahman Mohtashami

Martyr Bahman Mohtashami was born in Tehran in 1962 in an active family.

Since he was the first child of the family, he accomplished his childhood in Narmak Neighborhood and in 1969, he entered the elementary school. He accomplished his elementary school in 1974.

Since Mohtashami had so many interests to Koran and religious affairs and he would always express some mystical poetry, at the same time of his education, he started learning Koran and Islamic percepts as well. Also this issue led to a very great development for him in the field of education and cultural affairs.

He had an active presence in the cultural activities of the mosques including holding the commemoration for the martyrs, holding mourning occasions etc. After getting his diploma degree in 1981, he went to the military service and he served in the battlefields of west Iran for 18 months and he defended his Islamic country and religion.

After that he was dispatched to the southern battlefields and at the end of his military service, his waist was injured due to taking part in one of the operations as a result of mortar shell quiver. After accomplishing his military service, he continued his activities in the Education Learning Academy. In 1986, he took part in the exam for the national university and he was accepted in the Medicine Field of Medical Sciences University and the Health and Medical services of Iran.

At the same time of studying in the university , he went to the battlefields of Iran-Iraq war once again in 1988 voluntarily and after taking part in Mirsad operation, he was martyred due to unfair attacks of enemy.

Presence in the public prayers and the local mosque and holding the magnificent occasion of night were the religious activities of this martyr.

Also modesty, simplicity, honesty and helping the poor people were the most important ethical features of this martyr.
