The Commander who Became a Martyr after his Retirement
Navideshahed: Martyr Major General Monfared Niyaki returned to his work after his retirement in January 1985 based on the demand of former president of Iran ‘Ayatollah Khamenei’ and after a lifetime of services in the Army, he was martyred among the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps.
Martyr Major General Masoud Monfared Niyaki was born in 1929 in Amol city. In 1952 he was employed in the Military College after getting his natural diploma and after passing 3 years courses in the Military College, he got the rank of second lieutenant. After that he got the armored guild and he continued his services. Martyr Niyaki got the rank of colonel in 1976.
Martyr Niyaki was appointed as the commander of the armored Army 88 of Zahedan from September 23, 1980 and then in April 8, 1981 he was appointed as the commander of armored Army 92 of Ahvaz city.
He had the post of commandership during the military operations Tariq Al Quds, Fathol Mobin, Beitol Moghadas, Valfajr Moghadamati, Valfajr 1 and Ramadan in the operation units.
In 1981 within a verdict by Commander Lieutenant general Sayad Shirazi, he was appointed as the deputy of the Ground Force of the Army.

Martyr Niyaki on July 27, 1985 was the supervisor of the military exercise of the Commando Army 58 of Zolfaghar which was launched in a real condition of war. Therefore it was the destiny for him to get martyred after 33 years services in the training and exercises fields.
