The Unforgettable (18):

The Promise

Navideshahed: The last time that I was with martyr Mohammad Najafi, we were in Shooshtar garrison. When he saw the rings of my hand, he asked me to give one of them to him.

\"What Promise?\" he asked.

I said: “If you were martyred, I will give that ring to you and if I was martyred, you can take this ring and wear on your finger.”?

During the military operation ‘Karbala 4, I was in Ghazvin. It was not possible for me to take part in this military operation.

The military operation had been already started. Someday I saw colonel Ramezani. He told me: “I saw Najafi during the military operation ‘Karbala 4’. He told me to convey this message to you that you should not forget your promise.”?

I said: “what do you mean?”?

He said: “He was martyred during the military operation and you should fulfill your promise. When I heard this news, my heart started beating and I started crying in tears. I looked for him so much. They had brought the pure bodies of the martyrs. I went to the yard of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps Headquarters. I opened the coffin and I put away his pure body. I held his hand and I put the ring on his finger.”?
