Introduction of "Witnesses of Time", an Exquisite Pictorial Book

This exquisite book has been published by the cooperation of Shahed Publication and collaboration of Shahed Photographers Society and the family of martyred photographers and war veteran photographers with the subject of sacrifice and martyrdom.

The collection of the photos illustrated in the book "Witnesses of Time”? have been compiled by Mojtaba Aghayee Sarbarzeh. In this book the works of Kazem Akhavan, Saeed Janbozorgi, Rasoul Kazem Nejad, Reza Borji, Mehdi Jafari, Mehrzad Arshadi, Mahmoud Badr Far and Rasoul Mola Gholi Pour have been presented.

The book shows the outlook of martyred artists and war veterans regarding the world around them in a way that the outlook of martyr Saeed Janbozorgi in the marvelous pictures is really interesting. The photo which has been taken from a martyr in Fakeh, the one who presses a photo of Imam Khomeini on his chest as a sign of passion and this photo can surprise anyone who observes it.


"Ali Rajabi”? who himself is a chemically injured patient and he was present in the battlefields since the time that he was a teenager has a unique viewing angle. His picture is from the moment of martyrdom of martyr Amir Haji Amini, the wireless server of the battalion “Ansaar”? in 1987. Also the photos which have been taken from the explosions during the Sacred Defense Era indicate the courage of the Iranian photographers as well.

The book is a small report card from the photographers of Sacred Defense Era and shows how the braveness and courage of the photographers who would take the photos in dangerous situations. They put their own lives in danger to show the realities to the future generations.

All the pages of the book are documentary narrations which show a rational course of a glorious historical period. These photos are rare among the thousands of years of Islamic history and civilization which have been recorded from the poetic angle of the photographers of this county.
