Great Meeting of Khorramshahr Conquerors will be Held in Soon

Based on the Navideshahed report, Mohammad Sabz Gholami, the authority of Khorramshahr Martyrs Memorial stated that all have the duty to honor the courage of the youths during the eight year of Sacred Defense Era and he told the Shabestaon reporter: "This year, like last year along with the anniversary of liberation of Khorramshahr, conquerors and warriors of the military operation “Beitol Moghadas”? gather here and they express their narrations and memories as well.”?


He pointed out the importance of keeping alive the memory of martyrs of the eight years of sacred defense era and he said: “Familiarity of the young generation with the goals and ideals of martyrs and also transferring the culture of sacrifice and martyrdom to the youths are the goals for holding the meeting of Khorramshahr Conquerors.”?


He noted: According to the planning done in this field, Athletes Martyrs Memorial, and Khorramshahr sports pioneers meeting will be held simultaneously with the anniversary of the liberation of Khorramshahr by presence of country warriors and Khorramshahr sports pioneers.


Sabz Gholami mentioned that this memorial will be held with the cooperation of Khuzestan Corps, Khorramshahr Corps and Southern Military Base in the Persian Gulf Saloon of this city and he stipulated: “During the Sacred Defense Era, 18 athletes from Khorramshahr were martyred and many athletes were left as devotees and chemically injured patients.”?


He added: “Honoring the memory of martyrs of the eight years of sacred defense is important and according to the soft war of enemies, we must use the Cultural and Epic Property of the Islamic Iran for the purpose of familiarizing the youths with the divine ambitions of these great men (martyrs).”?


He added: This year in cooperation with the authorities, three books with the subjects "martyrs 45-day resistance of Khorramshahr "," Khorramshahr sports pioneers of onwards 1951 "and" 18-month resistance martyrs " will be published; information, biographies and pictures of martyrs have been gathered and until now we have held different meetings with the authorities regarding adopting necessary measures to publish these books, at the moment the Foundation of Martyrs and Veterans Affair for Khuzistan and Khuzistan Physical Education have given favorable promises for cooperation in order to publish these books.
