Judgment in Self Sacrifice Theatre Festival Was Thoroughly Just

In an interview with Navideshahed; Hamid Saroukhani, the Executive Secretariat of the First Nationwide Theatre Festival of Self Sacrifice spoke about holding this festival and said: “Considering the fact that participants in nationwide festival are select ed theatres of regional festivals and the selected plays had been reviewed by experienced professors, this festival was held in a high level of quality.”?

As for judgment in this festival, he said: “The jury of this festival consisted of Rahmat Amini, Iraj Raad, Ferdos Hajian, Mohammad-bagher Ghahremani and Saeed Kashan Fallah. And all these people are professional experienced people in the field of theatre. They judged the works in this festival based on technical criteria and in the level of international criteria. And we received no complaints about the judgment in this festival at all. Judgment in this festival was completely just, impartial and with a professional view and without connivance such that participants in the closing ceremony could guess the results of the festival.”?
As for objectives of holding criticism workshops at the side of this festival, the executive secretariat of this festival said: “Criticism workshops were held everyday after playing theatres. These workshops were held in presence of actors, actresses, directors and other members of the theatre groups. And these sessions aimed at identifying strong and weak points of the played theatres in order that there would be no complaint about the judgment of the jury about that particular play.”?
In conclusion, Saroukhani said: “We intended to hold training workshops simultaneously with criticism workshops; but we abandoned holding these workshops due to short time during the festival. By the way, training workshops had been held during regional festivals.”?
The First Nationwide Theatre Festival of Self Sacrifice was held in Tehran since December 21st to December 25th, 2008. General Administration of Art and Play Affairs of “Martyr Foundation and Isargaran Affairs”? held this festival. And 13 selected plays of regional festivals participated in this festival.
