Martyrs, Architects of Sacrifice Culture

TEHRAN, (SCIB) - In an interview with the Shahed Cultural Information Base (SCIB) reporter, Mahboob Shahbazi, head of the Office for Collection, Maintenance and Compilation of Veterans' Works called the martyrs as the architects of the culture of sacrifice and referred to the foundation of martyrs as “devoted”? to promotion of a culture of sacrifice and martyrdom.

Shahbazi declared, “The culture of all nations of the world is made up of the ups and downs of their social and political lives; the achievements of each nation will be the pride of their posterities and this brings the nations livelihood and progress.”? Shahbazi referred to the documentation and collection of martyrs’ and veterans’ cultural works as a significant matter and reiterated, “The Foundation of Martyrs and Veterans’ Affairs, as an organization “devoted”? to the promotion of the culture of sacrifice and martyrdom, is now the most essential element in the promotion of this culture. This organization has attempted to assign a cultural file to each veteran and create a databank of the works of veterans and has also established a document archive in the framework of activities of the Office. In conclusion, she pointed to the fact that many of the veterans’ works have already been collected by other organizations and said, “All organizations, ministries and military units are requested to hand in to the foundation of martyrs, the “original”? versions of any artifacts by martyrs, veterans and injured veterans that they might have collected; Since it is not possible for each and every organization to set up a documents archive equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to maintain these artifacts due to bureaucratic limitations.
