Reza Kazemi: Changing the View to War Is Required for Innovation in Poetry

According to the reporter of Navideshahed; Reza Kazemi, a poet was the guest of “Children and Teenagers”? Stand of “Shahed Publication”? on Tuesday evening. He spoke about his newest poems in the books “Barefoot till the Moon”? and “We Go to Pick Pomegranate Blossom. Don’t You Come?”? released by “Shahed Publication”?. During this session he spoke with the audiences.
As for saying sacred defense poem, Kazemi said: “Sacred defense poems are said in a particular framework. We should change our view to speak about the subject of war in order that we can attract audiences and create a new atmosphere; because war literature is a global issue and sacred defense is a national issue.”?
He further continued: “Sometimes repetition and staying in one framework cause dependence between audience and the subject. And it seems artificial in the point of view of the audience when the poet looks at the subject from another angle. My poems are about the subject of war with free subject and view and said in the form of narrative and short.”?
I say poems in narrative form because I actually want to communicate with the sector of people that I want to transfer my feelings to them. A poet should aim at transferring his feelings to the audiences, he stated.
Kazemi further emphasized on the fact that realities should be brought in poem without changes. He said: “We should explain realities as they are when we say poems although they criticize war or they are in contrast with the subject of war. Sometimes it is more influential to say something indirectly instead of directly.”?
As for Kazemi’s books which are released by “Shahed Publication”? and will be presented to the audiences in the Book Fair, we can refer to Barefoot till the Moon”? and “We Go to Pick Pomegranate Blossom. Don’t You Come?”?.
