Navideshahed- Martyr Alireza Yasini was one of the chief commanders of Air Force during the Sacred Defense who consumed his lifetime for saving the achievements of Islamic Revolution.

Seyed Alireza Yasini was born in a religious family in Abadan in March 1951.
Since he was very interested in aeronautical techniques, he entered Pilots College of the Air Force. When he passed preliminary course of flying, he went to the United States of America to complete his flying courses in advanced jet fighters and finished the pilot training courses of T.33 and T.37 test planes and also the advanced F-4 jet fighters.
When he came back to Iran, he began to work as a second lieutenant in the sixth base of jet fighters. Martyr Yasini was fond of flying. He had never stopped flying, although he had different responsibilities as a commander. He would fly different types of airplanes such as F-4, F-5, P3F Sokho 24 and Mig 29 but his favorite airplane was F4 Phantom.
Before the Islamic Revolution of 1977, although absolute suppression dominated the army, he distributed some declaration of Imam Khomeini among the obliged personnel.
After the victory of Islamic Revolution, the foreign counselers left Iran and he began to safeguard the achievements of the revolution and formed work groups for reconstruction and operation of systems and equipment.
When the Iran-Iraq war began, he was one of the pilots who had an important role in the proud operation of 140 airplanes in attacking the enemy’s land. He was one of the pilots who cooperated with colonel pilot martyr Khalatbari, major pilot martyr Taleb Mehr, major pilot martyr Akradi, colonel pilot martyr Dowran and they obliterated the Iraqi navy on Friday, November 28, 1980. He was a pioneer front-busting pilot during the imposed war and was promoted from second lieutenant to a Major due to his success.
After the war, he was the chief of Army Staff of the Air Force of Islamic Republic of Iran. On 5 January 1994, Martyr Yasini as well as Martyr Mansour Sattari and Martyr Mostafa Ardestani as the chief commanders of Iran’s Air Force participated in a coordination meeting of air force in Kish Island and in the way back, their airplane had an accident near Isfahan airport which caused the martyrdom of these commanders.
Martyr Yasini left 3 sons and 1daughter behind. Martyr Yasini’s wife says, “He used to allot some hours talking with his family members and give them necessary advice and guidelines although he was tired. He always told me to live like Zaynab bint Ali and was very sensitive about Islamic wearing. He always told us to thank God because Islamic Revolution brought security for women. May his spirit be happy and be dearly remembered.”?
