Nowadays the destructive effects of violence and specially armed wars on women and children are one of the crucial subjects of human rights. In many of the international documents there is debate about multiple effects of violence and wars on women and children. This means that although all the people are harmed in wars and armed arguments but harms are very much on women. It means that in addition to brunt on them, they loose their supporters and they have to shoulder the responsibility of children. So, after the war and massacre of men, women have to shoulder many responsibilities and because of the spiritual sensibilities, they face much sentimental annoyance and harmful environmental affects of wars danger their heaths and also their children's heaths and it is when the responsibility of mental and physical health of children is seriously on them. The after war poverty and shortages face them with many problems. It is notable that these days many topics about women and wars have been found that there is no record of them in history. Today organized abusive of women in considered as a military strategy.
Nowadays in the wars with such inhumanity, women are considered as main subjects to change the race. Modern world ponders about tragic and unbelievable scenes in wars and does not know that in Islam history and in the demarche of our prophet, women have been considered as a safe group. We are going to briefly discuss the relation between women in late Islam and war in the demarche of our prophet.
Physical and moral protection of women in wars
Firstly the presence of women in wars as soldier is prohibited in Islam and prophet's view. Secondly the prophet's message which was read in wars to the soldiers was that do not hurt women and children. Imam Sadegh said: when prophet sent a troop to war, he summoned the chief and made him sit near by and the friends in front, and then would say: go to the war in the name of god and for God's sake and in the prophet's creed and do not betray, do not overdo, don’t cut the bodies into pieces, don’t cut a tree unless you have to and do not kill the old men and children and women.
We can read in another place that in the war "Ghardeh" when some of the Muslims entered Aburafe's house to kill him; his wife came forward to prevent them. One of the Muslims decided to kill her but he reminded that the prophet have interdicted them from killing women and children.
In the basis of these indoctrinates when Imam Ali heard that in a war the Islam soldiers had pulled the anklet from a nun Muslim woman's foot and had scared her, said: "It is not surprise if a Muslim hears such a word and dies from zealotry and sorrow.
As we said before after the wars, prophet tried to free the women from big families. In many cases he freed women and their belongings. Here we discuss an event: in the time of second caliph when Iranian captives entered Madineh, Omar-ebne-khatab wanted to sell women. Imam Ali with reference to prophet said: treat well will the honorable people of every nation. So instead of selling them some of the Goreish people decided to marry them. Imam Ali said: there is no problem in marrying them but they can choose their husbands. Among the slaves was Shahrbanu, the daughter of Iran's king, third Yazd gerd. She was asked if she wants to marry. Who do you choose? And she said nothing. Imam Ali saw her silence and said: she wants to marry, but we have to find out who she have chosen to marry. Caliph asked Imam Ali: how do you know this? He again with reference to prophet said: if daughter of a honorable person that has no guardian was asked to marry and she was silent because of pudency it means consent. But if she said no, we should not force her.
