Unknown Martyrs’ Shrine in Talaeeyeh, Registered as National Monument of Sacred Defense

Colonel Pasdar Hossein Eshghi, Commander of Quarters of Preserving Monuments and Lands of Sacred Defense in Khoozestan Province announced the above news and told the reporter of Navideshahed: “In continuation of registering national monuments of sacred defense which has been started by “Foundation for Preservation of Monuments and Dissemination of Values of Sacred Defense”? since beginning of this year (March 2007), shrine of unknown martyrs in Talaeeyeh was registered as national monument of sacred defense under the registration number of 118.”? It should be mentioned that Colonel Pasdar Eshghi spoke to our reporter on the occasion of holding memorial ceremony for epic of “Kheybar”? operation and also its glorious martyrs. This ceremony was held in presence of passengers of “Rahian Nour”? caravans in place of martyrdom of Talaeeyeh martyrs. Bodies of five unknown martyrs of the epic of sacred defense, who had been martyred in “Kheybar”? operation, were found by “Searching Committee of Lost Martyrs”? of “General Headquarters of Armed Forces”? in Talaeeyeh in1999. Their bodies were buried in this area. Then the shrine of unknown martyrs of Talaeeyeh (Kheybar operation) was built in this place, he added. First the building of the shrine had been constructed by blocks. But this year it was reconstructed after allocation of budget, he concluded. According to our reporter; many of “Rahian Nour”? caravans complained about lack of attention to preserving memorials of the war and improper use of environment of the city, particularly the beach and river of Karoon and Arvand and also palm groves of Khorramshahr. They also complained about low pressure of the water and its occasional cut and tens of other problems. They expressed worry and asked officials to solve these problems.
