“Red Flight”? Festival with the Subject of “Tazieh”? Will Be Held during Imam Hossein Mourning Days

This festival is held by Arvand-Kenar Free Zone in cooperation with Theatre Association of Khorram Shahr and Governor Office of Minoo-Shahr District on January 13th to 18th, 2008 for six days. There will be five “tazieh”? plays from the cities of Ahvaz, Shoush, Behbahan, Khorram Shahr and Minoo Island performed at this festival. “Tazieh”? means mourning in word; but as an expression it is told to a type of religious poetic play in which some artists perform based on religious and historical subjects which are related to imams on special religious occasions, Moharram Month mourning days in particular. They use instruments and music and sometimes live paintings in order to perform such religious subjects for the audience. They mostly play based on event of Karbala.
