5000 martyrs, chemically injured veterans’ files well-documented

TEHRAN, (SCIB) - The Committee of chemically injured veterans and martyrs has fully documented the files of 50000 of its clients in order for them to file their claims against the manufactures, distributors and users of chemical weapons.

The files are being investigated in branch 3 of Martyr Beheshti judiciary complex, Mohammad Ali Pour Mokhtar, head of the legal office of the foundation of martyrs and veterans’ affairs announced. The committee for chemically injured veterans and martyrs has been formed to provide historical, medial and legal documents for the files of these clients. Pour Mokhtar noted that experts have not produced any estimate for the compensation of the damages that these injured veterans have incurred. “We should have enough documents to support our claims against the manufacturers, exporters, distributors and users of these chemical weapons.”? he stressed. “The foundation of martyrs and veteran’s affairs is not responsible for filing the veteran’s claims; it s merely responsible for the collection and organization of these documents so that they can be used to support the veterans’ claims filed outside of the country”? he added. The ministry of Foreign affairs and the legal office of the presidential institution are responsible for handling the claims filed against chemical criminals outside the country, Pour Mokhtar told our reporter. The foundation of Martyrs and Veterans’ Affairs endorses these claims and can provide financial support to the families of martyrs and injured veterans in the preparation of the required documents, Pour Mokhtar concluded.
