‘The Third Day’ breaks record in first two days screening

TEHRAN, (SCIB) - The sacred defense film “Third Day’ sold a record of 5 million Tomans in only two days and in two cinemas.

The number of cinema halls screening the film is planned to increase to 12. Mohammad Hossein Latifi’s latest film ‘The third Day’ was scheduled to hit the screens with one week delay; however, the film was finally screened Wednesday, June 13 in two cinema halls, thanks to the low sales records of the movie ‘Disguise’. In its first two day of screening, the film has managed to sell more than 5 million Tomans in two cinemas’ the screening is bound to start Wednesday in towns. Written by Mahmoud Sadjadeh chi, the story reveals the last days of resistance in the western part of Khoramshahr in 1980. Siblings Samireh and Reza are resisting the enemy like other people in the city. Samireh is surrounded by the enemy when Reza and his fellow warriors are struggling to release him. Pouria Pour Sorkh, Baran Kowsari, Hamed Behdad, Borzoo Arjomand, Shahrum Ghaedi, Mahdi Saba’ee and Majid Yasser star in this film. ‘Third Day’ received several prizes in Fajr film festival, including those for the best film, best direction and best actress.
