Mojtaba Aghaee “25 years late”?

TEHRAN, (SCIB) - In an exclusive interview with Shahed Information cultural Base, the secretary of the exhibition ‘Khoramshahr, epic of Resistance’ expressed regret over such a late attempt to publish a comprehensive book about this event.

“Many countries with no rich historical heritage keep photo archives of historical events in their countries. But we ignore our rich historical heritage by not taking any steps to preserve it”? Mojtaba Aghaee told (SCIB) reporter. “Do we have to wait for 25 years to pass since the liberation of Khoramshahr to publish a book on this important event? True that we have delayed in attempting to publish a book; but even if the attempt takes place today the visual documents of our honor and valor are preserved and displayed in the form of books, exhibitions, etc, we have done great service to this country”? he continued. Photography is the most objective form of reporting, Aghaee commented. “Poetry, writings, films and Literature in general always look slightly biased because we know they are the product of the author’s mind. Even a painter has great difficulty persuading the viewer that his work of art is objective.”? Photography can act as the strongest media to spread the message of sacrifice and martyrdom, Aghaee said. The photographs exhibited in “Khoramshahr, epic of Resistance”? cover a time- span of over 50 years in the city. “The works displayed here depict the city before the revolution, during the revolution, during the war and in the post-war period. The latest photos include those taken in the city a month ago”?
