Head of the foundation of Martyrs: “Responsible for promoting culture of sacrifice and martyrdom”?
TEHRAN, (SCIB) - The third generation of the revolution expects the second generation to pass down to them the rich heritage of the country in defending Islam and independence, head of the foundation of martyrs and veterans affairs told reporters.
“The foundation of martyrs and veteran’s affairs considers itself responsible for this matter. We have to try harder as an organ to spread the culture of Sacrifice, martyrdom and resistance.”? Dr. Hassan Dehghan stated, during a visit to the exhibition ‘art of Sacrifice’. “There have been very positive attempts in the past. But none are proportionate with the huge responsibility placed on the authorities’ shoulders to reveal the truth of this nation. Authorities should encourage artists and thus pave the way for the creation of new ideas and different intellectual atmospheres. Artists should also try their best to make a difference”? Dr. Dehghan went on to discuss plans over the organizing of a memorial site for martyrs. “We do not expect financial contributions from people of the families of the martyrs in the construction of such memorial sites. The government is responsible for financing such projects and turning them into cultural sites, and that is what we are doing.”? He expressed hope that the project for the construction of such memorial sites will finish quickly. “Our budget may not suffice for the conclusion of the projects this year. But we will try our best to finish the project next year.”?
