Moazzenzadeh’s Izan Registered as Cultural Heritage

TEHRAN, (SCIB) - Concurrent with second anniversary of Rahim Moazzenzadeh Ardabili’s pass away, a documentary film director asked for registering his immortal Izan (call for prayers) in the list of cultural heritage, Shahed Cultural Information Base reported.

According to the report, Sayed Omid Sharif Mousavi brought up the issue because of the immortal and pleasant voice of Rahim Moazzenzadeh Ardabili. He is the director of the only documentary film made about Rahim Moazzenzadeh Ardabili’s life. The film has been made when he was alive. In the documentary film “Asheghaneh-haye Irani”? Rahim Moazzenzadeh Ardabili -famous to Belal of Iran- (Belal is a black man at the age of Mohammad the Messenger who said izan) said izan for the first time after 40 years at the age of 84 years old. The film has not been copied and presented yet. Sayed Omid Sharif Mousavi who is a film director and head of “Cultural Heritage Fan Artists”? (Art Heritage) spoke about Rahim Moazzenzadeh Ardabili’s izan and said: “his voice was so pleasant that made a unique place for him among Iranians and even Muslims and Shiites of the world. It is a small work to register officially this particular izan as the cultural heritage of the country to appreciate and honor it; because it is a religious, cultural and Iranian-Islamic art symbol. His nice and immortal voice in that particular izan will remain in the hearts of every Muslim Iranian person. It will be kept and transferred to other generations, Sharif Mouzavi said. Sharif Mouzavi said that he was next to Rahim Moazzenzadeh Ardabili’s bed when he died. He said that remembering those days was very bitter for him. He mentioned the day when he met Rahim Moazzenzadeh Ardabili for the first time. It was in Ramadan (the month that Muslims are fasting) and Iftar time (the time when Muslims start eating in sunset during the Ramadan month) at his house. He spoke about that memory as the greatest and sweetest memory in his life. As for the reasons for making the documentary film about Rahim Moazzenzadeh Ardabili, he said: “Rahim Moazzenzadeh Ardabili is the famous Iranian “Moazzen”? (A person who calls for prayers) and enjoys an honorable status among Iranians and Muslims of the world.”?
