Int’l Quds Day to be Held in 57 Islamic Countries

Navideshahed: Upon Iran’s proposal and OIC’s approval, the International Quds Day rallies would be held simultaneously at entire 57 Islamic countries on last Friday of fasting moth of Ramadan, Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Sayyed Mohammad Hosseini told IRINN.

Based on the proposal, it was also agreed that the 10th OIC Summit would be held in Tehran in the year 2013.

an internet TV network would be launched to support the oppressed Palestinian nation with the collaboration of the Islamic countries and Iran is a member of its Executive Committee, he added.

In August 1979, the late founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini declared it a religious duty for Muslims to liberate the occupied al-Quds ('Jerusalem').

He also invite Muslims all over the globe to designate the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan as Al-Quds Day and to proclaim their international solidarity to the legitimate rights of the Muslim people of Palestine.
