Iraqi POWs Officially Apologized to Iranians by Writing 65 Books

According to Navideshahed, the second professional meeting of what is said and what is unsaid and what should be done and what should not be done regarding the Sacred Defense Animation was held in Saba Animation Center by presence of writers and directors of animation.

During this meeting the authority of Literature and Resistance of Artistic Center declared: “War is not an incident, but also it is an event that in addition of field and context, it is followed with some consequences as well.”?

Mortaza Sarhangi added: “Every war is started at an exact time and period of time and it is ended at an exact time and period of time as well, but the studying domain of that will be continued for many centuries; as the World War II is reviewed and discussed.”?

He continued: “The Iran-Iraq war is not an exception too and still this war is discussed and many researches are done regarding this war as well.”?

He said: “Those persons who aim to write about the war and to produce films and animations regarding the Sacred Defense Era, they should have general knowledge and information about this event so that they will be able to do their work successfully.”?

He stipulated: “We should know that the war has two language demands; the first is the demand of propaganda and the second is the commitment demand and our media system has not returned from propaganda yet and it has been left in the decade 1980s, that is why the people don’t show their interests in this field and such works are not interesting anymore.”?

He admitted: “If someone wants to have some information regarding that event, these witnesses and hearing will be possible for him by two methods; it means he/she should have experienced and witnessed it or he/she should have heard about it.”?

He continued: “The memories of war veterans are the most important sources which should be under attention; because the war veterans experienced the war themselves and he/she can be considered as a valuable sourced for documentary works.”?

The authority of Literature and Resistance of Artistic Center emphasized: “Many of the live and oral sources of war are disappearing, so we must not allow the realities of the war to be forgotten by losing the opportunities.”?

He outlined: “If a soldier wrote the memories of war, he/she will be an everlasting person. His writing can be considered as a lecturer and this text will express the realities about him in details too. Generally, the events which are not written seem they have not originally existed at all.”?

Sarhangi added: “One of the cases that increases our knowledge about war is reviewing the memories of prisoners of war known as the camping literature. The people indicate many interests to such works, because they would like to know how their fellow men have tolerated the difficulties and pains in hard times.”?

He mentioned: “During the war against Iraq, the Iraqi prisoners of war in Iran belonged to 15 countries of the world and these persons wrote 65 books in order to officially and nationally apologize to the people of Iran and they left.”?

Sarhangi stated: “The pure and unique event which occurred in Iran, did not occur in any other places of the world. No country will give pens and papers to the prisoners to writer their memories, but this issue happened in Iran.”?
