Iran, Oman Armies to Hold Friendly Quran Contest

Navideshahed: Deputy of the Army’s Dar-ol-Quran center said a Quran competition is planned to be held between the armies of Iran and Oman.

Captain Mehdi Meydani told that it would be the 4th friendship Quran competition between the armies of the two countries.

He added that Oman would host this edition of the competition in February.

“Memorization of 5, 10 and 20 Juzes (parts) of the Quran and memorization of the entire Quran will be the categories of the contest,”? he said, adding that the two armies will have 3 contenders in each category.

Captain Meydani noted that Iran’s representatives (from the Army, as well as the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, the Police Force, and the Defense Ministry) will be announced in the coming days.

According to the deputy of the Army’s Dar-ol-Quran center, the first friendship Quranic contest between the armies of Iran and Oman was held in Iran.
