World’s Largest Quran Manuscript Unveiled in Afghanistan

Navideshahed: The largest manuscript copy of the Holy Quran was unveiled Saturday in a ceremony in Kabul, Afghanistan.

The ceremony was attended by a number of high-ranking cultural and political officials from Pakistan, Khama Press reported.

The manuscript copy was calligraphed by eminent Afghan calligrapher Sabber Hosseini at the request of the Hakim Nasser Khosrow Balkhi cultural center.

The work of art is 230 centimeters long and 150 centimeters wide.

It took Mr. Hosseini more than 5 years to calligraph the work.
