Crackdown on Demos in Yemen Claims Several Lives

Navideshahed: Yemeni security forces, Ali Abdullah Saleh, have brutally suppressed the demonstrators in the Yemeni Capital, Sana’a, killing a number of protestors.

The Yemeni security forces, on Sunday, opened fire on demonstrators and killed at least 12 protesters in a desperate attempt to disperse the peaceful protests of Yemeni nation, who urge the ouster of the Yemeni suppressive and embattled ruler, Ali Abdullah Saleh.

Moreover, almost hundred people, who had gathered at the epicenter of Yemen’s popular uprising, Change Square of the city of Sana’a, sustained injuries after the Yemeni troops fired live rounds at the demonstrators. They were later transferred to hospital.

Meanwhile, the UN Security Council is scheduled to hold a meeting on Monday, about Yemen.
