Digital Media Fairs to be Launched in Neighboring Countries

According to Navideshahed quoting Public Relations of International Affairs of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Seyed Mohammad Husseini on Thursday evening during the opening ceremony of the 5th International Digital Media Festival and Fair at Tehran's Imam Khomeini Grand Prayer Grounds on Thursday said: “One of the active sections was relevant to the digital medias and I hope that many of the software and multimedia works to be exported to foreign countries in the next week.”?

He notified: “Five years have passed since the first year of holding digital fair. Supporting the digital software activities, promoting cultures and supporting the producers of digital medias have been the main objectives of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance.

The minister of Islamic culture and Guidance said: “Holding digital media fairs promotes the quality of public culture and if the current potentials in the field of digital medias, so if we don’t use this potential accurately, it can harm our country.”?

He emphasized: “One of the tools for soft war is the use of digital medial capacities, so in this case we must attempt not to be only consumers, so we must support the domestic products and export them to foreign countries.”?

Husseini also announced that the digital fair is being held in 21 provinces of country and he expressed hopes: “By the support of active companies in the field of digital Medias, some useful and positive steps will be taken in this field. The member of Cultural Revolution Excellence Council also announced that the first phases of cell digital libraries are being held at the same time of the 5th International Digital Media Festival and Fair of our country.”?

The minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance pointed out to the issue of Islamic Awakening in the region and he said: “We can use the movement which has been started in the countries as a tool for fighting against colonial countries.”?

He notified: “Some panels of the digital Medias have been devoted to the Islamic Awakening for the purpose of campaign against colonial countries.”?

Husseini also referred to the quality and quantity level of the fair of this year in comparison to the previous years and he said: “This year the 5th International Digital Media Festival and Fair has increased the digital relics from 20.000 to 30.000 data-x-items and the number of specialized sessions from 250 to 300 meetings and round tables.”?

The 5th International Digital Media Festival and Fair opened at Tehran's Imam Khomeini Grand Prayer Grounds on Thursday October 6 and will continue until October 15, 2011.
