Biography and political activities of a number of martyrs of June 28th, 1981

 

Martyr Mahmoud Tafvizi Zavareh, Deputy of Road and Transportation Ministry

He was born in Tehran in 1947. His family was a religious family. He was graduated in civil engineering from Poly-Technique University in Tehran. He avoided working in governmental organizations and administrations during Pahlavi government. He participated in revolution with other Muslim people of the country. He was hired by the Ministry of Road and Transportation after Islamic Revolution. He started working in Khouzestan province. In January of 1980 he was assigned as the deputy minister of Road and Transportation Ministry. He was martyred on June 28th, 1981 with Dr Beheshti and other martyrs.

Martyr Haj Sheikh Abdolvahhab Ghassemi, representative of Sari in the parliament

He was born in Savadkouh in 1933. His father was a clerigyman. He started learning religious subjects from his father. Later he continued educations in Hozeh (The place in which people learn religious subjects in their own special system) in presence of great teachers and become a clergyman (the highest grade for someone who studies Islamic jurisprudence.). His decisive lectures with its special and attractive style were famous during and after the Islamic Revolution. He was arrested on June 5th 1963. He was sent for obligatory military service by the government. One doctor in a garrison announced his exemption from military service due to his poor eyesight. He again started serving people. His enthusiastic lectures will never be forgotten by Sari (A city in north of Iran) people. 

After Islamic Revolution, people elected him as their representative in parliament. And he was finally martyred on June 28th, 1981 by side of the Dr Beheshti, the greatest man upon the oppressed people.
 
 Ali-Akbar Fallah

He was born in Qazvin in 1940. His family was a religious family. His father was a shopkeeper. He received diploma in the course of installations. He commenced his serious political activities concurrent with the event of June 5th, 1963. He always lectured during the Pahlavi regime despite all limitations. He never quit complaining the government and was never afraid of telling the truth.

He was hired as the high school teacher in Kamran School after victory of Islamic Revolution. He went to battle fields during Norouz holidays (Norouz is the Iranian New Year holidays) and participated in the sacred defense. When returning from battle field he went to Sarcheshmeh (An area in Tehran) to meet Dr Beheshti. Following the meeting he was martyred at the tragic event of June 28th 1981.  

Martyr Rahman Estaki, the representative of Shahr-e-Kord in parliament.

He was born in Shahr-e-Kord in 1950. He was graduated in Training Sciences course. He participated in different classes held by Professor Mohammad-Taghi Jafari and also the private classes of Dr Beheshti. He organized and supervised different demonstrations in his city. He was later introduced as inciting students to fight against the government. It was found out in a confidential document. He was assigned as the deputy manager of training department and also head of Education Administration in Chaharmalah and Bakhtiari province.

Soon after that he was elected as representative of Shahr-e-Kord in parliament. He loved Imam Hussein and was finally martyred on June 28th, 1981.  
 
 Engineer Haadi Amini

He was born in Tehran in 1953. He was graduated in Mechanic and Installations Engineering course from the University of Tehran. After victory of Islamic Revolution he became a member of Islamic Republic Party. Following his membership in Islamic Republic Party he was assigned as a manger in Mostazafan Foundation. He carried out a lot of activities to irrigate water to the villages surrounding Tehran. He worked in the Engineering Department of Tehran Governor Office for a while. He made a lot of efforts to reveal plots of ?Monafeghin? Party (means hypocrites) and Bani-Sadr. (Hypocrites were the people who opposed the government and did lots of terrors at that time. And Bani-Sadr was the president at that time and was disloyal to the country.)

Once he was close to martyrdom. But he did not die. And finally he was martyred beside Dr Beheshti on June 28th, 1981.  

Ali-Reza Cheraghzadeh Dezfouli, Representative of Ramhormoz in Parliament

He was born in Ahvaz in 1953. His father was a simple carpenter. He worked and studied at the same time. He graduated in Accounting Course and was hired by Oil Company. But he resigned from his job one year later. After Islamic Revolution he was assigned as the district governor of Haftgol. One year later he was elected as the representative of Ramhormoz in parliament.

He wrote a lot of articles regarding study methods, understanding methods and lecturing methods during his education and research period. He was one of the martyrs on June 28th, 1981.  

 

Martyr Hassan Ejarehdar

He was born in Tehran in 1950. He worked and studied at the same time. He received his diploma in Mathematics and started political activities against the government in 1970. He was arrested by the government in 1976. He was a companion for Dr Beheshti and Dr Mofatteh. After the victory of Islamic Revolution, he made efforts to develop libraries in mosques of Tehran. At the same time he was involved in strong political activities upon the university student. He became a member of central council of Islamic Republic Party in March 1979. And he was martyred on June 28th, 1981 by his companions.

 

Martyr Abbas Ebrahimian

He commenced activities in Imam Khomeini Charity Committee after Islamic Revolution. Later he joined Islamic Republic Party. He worked hard and enthusiastically in the Public Relations Department and also the Department of Cities first. Later he went to the Organization Department of the party. Since some members of his family had joined "Monafeghin" Party (means hypocrites), he cut relations with them; so he was   offended hard. He was also one of the martyrs of June 28th, 1981.  

 

Martyr Dr Sayed Mohammad-Bagher Husseini Lavassani, the representative of Tehran  people in Parliament

He was born in south of Tehran (Sanglaj Area) in 1943. His father was a clergyman. His forefathers were professors in different religious schools. His mother called him Hussein. He was graduated in Medicine Course in 1974 and started his work as a doctor in Sheminarat (An area in north part of Tehran). Concurrent with studying medicine he had studied teachers Training Course and Islamic Jurisprudence Sciences and Philosophy. He took these courses with great professors of the time. Due to religious activities he was recalled to administrative court and lost permission to work until victory of Islamic Revolution.

 

On September 8th 1978 he cured wounded anti-government demonstrators with Dr Vaezi. (On September 8th, 1978 a lot of people demonstrated to show their opposition against the government. And a large number of them were shot by the police and SAVAC). On February 10th, 1988 he conquered police stations in Tehran with other people. On February, 11th, 1988 he went to Royal Hospital along with his brother to cure the people who had been wounded in street fights. After Islamic Revolution he was elected as the representative of Tehran people in the parliament. He was one of the martyrs on June 28th, 1981.  

 

Martyr Dr Mohammad-Ali Fayazbakhsh, the Consulting Minister and Head of Rehabilitation Organization

He was born in Tehran in 1937. His family was religious and involved in charity affairs. He was graduated in Surgery Course. He cured people and did surgery operations free of charge for four years. He trained first medical aid to revolutionary people before September 8th 1978. He cured people who were wounded in the tragic event of September 8th 1978. He established the Committee of Revolution Disabled Sanatorium in November 1979. It was his first governmental job after Islamic Revolution. He was first the general manager of Rehabilitation Department of Ministry of Health. In cooperation with Dr Lavassani, he proposed Rehabilitation Organization Bill to the Council of Revolution. Imam Khomeini Charity Committee is one of the charity foundations that he was in charge of its establishment. He was one of the three doctors in Group 7 which was chosen by Imam Khomeini in the Cultural Revolution. He was the mediator between Imam Khomeini and Cultural Revolution. He was finally martyred on June 28th 1981.

Martyr Hojjatoleslam Mohammad-Ali Heydari, the Representative of Nahavand People in the Parliament

He was born in Qom in 1936. His father was a knowledgeable and creditable religious professor. His father was respected by people in west part of the country. Mohammad-Ali Heydari reached to the highest grade of religious jurisprudence at the age of 30. Beside other clergymen he started his political activities in June 1963. He was arrested in 1963 and jailed in Ghezel Ghal?eh prison. He went to Nahavand after his father passed away. In 1976 he was sent to Lebanon on duty by Imam Khomeini. He visited Imam Mousa Sadr there. While returning to country he was arrested and exiled to Shahr Babak (A city in Iran). He was welcomed by Nahavand people when returning from Shahr Babak where he had been exiled to. Then he was again arrested and jailed. He participated in opposition activities in the University of Tehran when Bakhtiar was the vice president before Islamic Revolution. After victory of Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini assigned him as the chief mullah for Friday prayers and ceremonies in Nahavand city. At the same time he was assigned to be head of Revolution committees and also judge in the courts of Hamedan city. Soon after that he was elected as the representative of Hamedan people in the parliament. He was lmartyred at the bomb explosion in the central office of Islamic Republic Party on June 28th 1981.
 Martyr Mohammad Khoshzaban

He was born in a religious family in Tehran in 1961. He received his diploma while he was an honor student. He studied a lot. He started his political activities since graduation from high school. He had an enthusiastic role in the Islamic Revolution. He provided revolutionary people with armament during the revolution in February of 1979. He was also an influencing factor in conquering police stations. He joined Islamic Republic Party after victory of Islamic Revolution. He was assigned to be head of the region first. Later he was assigned to be advertising head of the province. And finally he was assigned to be the security head of Friday prayers and parades. He was martyred on June 28th 1981. When the news of his martyrdom was told to his mother, she said: "He was given to me by Imam Zaman (The 12th Shiite Imam) and Imam Zaman took him back from me."

Martyr Gholam-Ali Motamedi, Deputy Head of Welfare and Cooperation Department of Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs

He was born in Shiraz in 1948. He grew up in a religious family. His mother\'s father was a famous clergyman. He was dominated on Islamic jurisprudence. He was graduated from Technical Faculty of Tehran University in Mechanic Engineering Course. He fought with government seriously during his education.

He was assigned as the economic consultant of Isfahan Governor. Later he was assigned as the head of Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. Bani-Sadr who was the president at that time disagreed with him being the minister. He was finally assigned as the deputy head of Welfare and Cooperation Department of Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. He immediately wrote a welfare plan for the workers and suggested it to the ministry. He was martyred on June 28th 1981
 
Martyr Abbas Heydari, Representative of Boushehr City in the Parliament
He was born in one of the villages of Shiraz in 1944. After graduation from high school, he was hired as a telecommunication technician in the Ministry of Post and Telegraph. He commenced political activities against Pahlavi regime from his village. He was sent to Booshehr after SAVAC persecuted him. He had an important role in transferring Imam Khomeini messages to people during the Islamic Revolution. He was elected as the representative of Boosheh people in the parliament after the victory of Islamic Revolution. He was martyred at the tragic event on June 28th 1981. He was martyred in a plot designed by ?Monafeghin? Party (means hypocrites) and USA.  
 
 Martyr Dr Abdolhamid Dialameh, Representative of Mashad People in the Parliament

He was born in Tehran in 1953. He learned philosophy and logic from Professor Motahhari. He also studied medicine in Mashad University. He established the Islamic library in Mashad University Dormitory during education in university. For the first time he popularized Komeil prays ceremonies beside political activities (Komein is one of the famous Islamic prays which is usually read in public on Thursday nights). He also held different lecturing meetings with the title of "The Straight Way". University students and ordinary people welcomed those useful meetings enthusiastically.  

Following receiving PhD, he established "Shiite Thoughts Council" in Tehran. He fought with deviated ideas and thoughts effectively. He became a popular and famous face among Mashad people due to his political activities. Despite being merely 29 years, he was elected by majority of Mashad people as their representative in the parliament. He was also martyred on June 28th 1981.
 
 Martyr Mohammad-Sadegh Eslami, Parliamentary Deputy of Ministry of Commerce
He was born in Tehran in 1932. He studied and worked at the same time. He established "Shiites Group" with Haj Sadegh Amanpour in 1951. He was jailed for two years after the revolutionary execution of Hassan-Ali Mansour. In cooperation with Martyr Andarzgou, he organized an urgent opposing group to fight with Pahlavi regime in 1976. He was jailed again after martyrdom of Andarzgou. After releasing from prison he gave a lecture in Hazrat Abdolazeem Shrine and called the founder of Islamic Republic as Imam Khomeini. He organized huge demonstrations against Pahlavi regime before victory of Islamic Revolution. He was a manager in Imam Khomeini welcoming committee. He was also one of the people in charge of protecting Imam Khomeini\'s residence. He was assigned as the parliamentary and coordination deputy of Ministry of Commerce in Martyr Rajayee?s government. He was one of the other martyrs on June 28th 1981.
 
 Martyr Hojjatoleslam Ali-Akbar Ejehyee

He was born in Isfahan in 1952. His father was Ayatollah Ejehyee, one of the great clergymen of Isfahan. He continued education in high school and ?Hozeh Elmieh? at the same time (Hozeh Elmieh is the place where religious subjects are taught.). He was graduated in Psychology and Philosophy from Isfahan University. He was one of the private students of Martyr Beheshti. He later started activities in a training and scientific center and also Imam Ali Mosque of Isfahan. We can refer to his books which are namely "A Chance in Sunset" and "A Brief Criticism on Knowledge". These were the achievements of his studies and researches during those years. He traveled to Libya with Ali-Akbar Parvaresh, Martyr Hasheminejad and Martyr Mohammad Montazeri. He became familiar with Moammar Ghazzafi and other faces of Libya revolution. As for his books we can refer to: "Belief as Viewed by Quran", "Patience as Viewed by Koran","Human as Viewed by Quran","The Second Ramadon", "Ghadr Night" (It is one of the nights in Ramadon month.), "Clergymen as Viewed by Islam", "Monotheism for Youth", "Psychology and Philosophy", etc. This esteemed professor was martyred on June 28th 1981.  

 

Martyr Engineer Hossein Akbari, Managing Director of Agricultural Bank

He was born in Tehran in 1944. He was graduated in Animal Husbandry Course from the University of Tehran. He was employed by Agricultural Cooperation Bank. He participated in demonstrations on September 8th 1978 and made efforts for the victory of Islamic Revolution. After victory of Islamic Revolution he worked in Jahad Sazandegi, Revolution Administration of Justice, Islamic Republic Party and also the Promotion Headquarters of Defense Supreme Council.

He established "Islamic Council of Agricultural Bank", "Islamic Associations Union of Government\'s Employees" and also "Islamic Society of University Graduates of the Country". He was assigned as the managing director of Agricultural Bank in April 1981. He was martyred on June 28th 1981.

Martyr Dr Mahdi Omizadeh, Domestic Commerce Deputy of Ministry of Commerce

He was born in 1949. He reached to high education grades very soon. He received PhD in Economic Programming Course from The University of Texas. He departed for Paris when Imam Khomeini went there. Islamic Associations of universities inside and outside the country were the bases for him to start political activities against Pahlavi regime. After returning to Iran he started activities in Mashad committees. In October 1979 he was assigned to be a member of board of directors in Commercial Services Development Company. In February 1980 he was assigned to be the Domestic Commerce Deputy of Ministry of Commerce. He made efforts to remove economic obstacles of the country. He was martyred on June 28th 1981 and entered the heaven.

Martyr Hojjat-Ol-eslam Dr Ghassem Sadeghi, Representative of Mashad People in the Parliament

He was born in Garmeh town in Bojnourd in 1936. He went to Mashad "Hozeh Elmieh" (Religious school) at the age of 12. At the same time he continued academic education till receiving PhD in "Islamic Jurisprudence and Law" course. He started teaching in university at that time. He traveled to Mecca (for pilgrimage), Iraq, Syria and Lebanon several times. He has written two books which are namely "Beginning" and "Resurrection". They are very valuable works. Following victory of Islamic Revolution he was elected as the representative of Mashad people in the first parliament of the Islamic Republic of Iran. He was very influential in the parliament. He was martyred on June 28th 1981.

Martyr Javad Maaleki

He was born in Tehran in 1936. He grew up in a religious family in south of Tehran. He started political activities against the government in 1971 when he entered Teacher Training University. In cooperation with Dr Mofatteh, he started political activities in Javid Mosque of Tehran. He played an important and basic role in holding "Fitr" prayers in 1978 (Fitr prayers is said in public on the first day after Ramadan month). He was a member in Imam Khomeini\'s welcoming committee. He made lots of efforts to establish bases of committees in different cities after the victory of Islamic Revolution. Later he joined Islamic Republic Party and became a member of its central council. He was one of the other honorable martyrs who were killed in the explosion of the central office of Islamic Republic Party on June 28th 1981.  

Martyr Habibollah Maaleki, Governor of Iranshahr

He was born in Tehran in 1955. His family was a religious family and lived in an old area of Tehran. Following graduation from high school, he went to religious centers and participated in classes held by Dr Beheshti; so he became familiar with fighting movement. He was active in holding Fitr prayers in 1978. He was also active in Imam Khomeini welcoming committee. After victory of Islamic Revoultion, he played an important role in the Interior Ministry to hold parliament and presidential elections. After a little time he was assigned as the governor of Iranshahr. He worked as the governor in Iranshahr for six months and was martyred on June 28th 1981.

Martyr Dr Hasan Abbaspour, Minister of Power

He was born in Tehran in 1944. He received MS in "Electro-mechanic" Course from the University of Tehran. He also received PhD in "Management of Energizing Systems" course from the University of London. He established a connection between committed professors in different universities when he returned to the country. This way he started fighting with the regime with other Muslim university students of the country.

He was one of the basic professors in the first "National Organization of university Students and Professors". He also established "Islamic Society of University Students and Professors". Following victory of the Islamic Revolution, the "Council of the Revolution" assigned him as the Minister of Power. He was a member of central council of Islamic Republic Party. His active life finished on June 28th 1981 and he was martyred beside Dr Beheshti and others.

Martyr Ali-Akbar Dehghan, Representative of Torbat Jaam People in the Parliament

He was born in Torbat Jaam in 1948. His family had moved from Yazd to Torbat Jaam. His father was a worker. He received diploma in Sciences and post diploma in Mathematics. Immediately after graduation, he started teaching in high schools of his city. At the same time, he established Anti-Bahayee Association (Bahayee was a deviated school of thought). On the other side, he established the loan Fund of Almahdi in order to give interest free loans to people. He administered the fund well. He was attacked by SAVAC several times. He was famous as the pioneer during the Islamic Revolution. He was elected by Torbat Jaam people as their representative in the first parliament of Islamic Republic of Iran. He was martyred on June 28th 1981.

Martyr Dr Hashem Jafari Moayyeri, the Deputy Head of Treatment Affairs Department of Ministry of Health

He was born in Tabriz in 1930. He received PhD in Medicine Course. Later he became a specialist in General Surgery. He provided treatment services to people in different cities such as Khalkhal, Azarshahr, Damavand and Mianeh. During the Islamic Revolution, he supported revolutionary people and participated in different demonstrations. This way he announced his participation in the movement. After the victory of Islamic Revolution, he was assigned as the managing director of Social Security Organization. Later he was assigned as the deputy of Minister of Health in Treatment Affairs. He was martyred on June 28th 1981.

Martyr Hojjat-Ol-eslam Sayed Mohammad-Kazem Danesh, Representative of Shoush and Andimeshk People in the Parliament

He was born in Dezfoul in 1939. His father was a clergyman. He went to Qom after finishing primary school. Later he traveled to all parts of the country in order to disseminate Shiite thoughts. Due to revealing bad points of the regime among people, the government forbade him to give lectures several times. He had close relations with combatant groups. He wrote two books too. After the victory of Islamic Revolution, he went to Shoush. He was assigned as the head of committee and also the chief mullah to for Friday prayers and ceremonies. 

Considering his special management ability, he could solve tribal problems in that border area. He could also collect weapons which had been given to people during the Islamic Revolution. He used the collected weapons for strengthening"The Army of the Guardians of the Islamic Revolution" and committee. After a while he was elected by Shoush and Andimeshk people as their representative in the parliament. He was martyred on June 28th 1981.

Martyr Hojjat-Ol-eslam Dr Gholam-Reza Danesh, the Representative of Tafresh and Ashtian People in the Parliament

He was born in Ashtian in 1930. He studied in university and "Hozeh Elmieh" at the same time. He had a common room with Dr Beheshti and Dr Mofatteh in "Hozeh Elmieh". He received his PhD in Theology Course and later he started teaching. He was the manager of Jahan-Ara high school. He established Ghods Cultural Institution. He started political activities against the government since he was student in "Hozeh Elmieh". He was arrested and chased by SAVAC several times. His daughter -Mahboubeh Danesh- was martyred in a demonstration on September 8th 1978. In order to adopt changes in Iranian school in other countries, he traveled to Turkey and UAE. When he returned from his trip he was elected as the representative of Tafresh and Khalajestan people in the parliament. He was martyred on June 28th 1981.

Martyr Ali Derakhshan, Head of Financial Affairs of Islamic Republic Party

He was born in Tehran in 1940. He found out the necessity to fight with Pahlavi regime after graduation from high school. He had a long record in fighting with the regime. He provided facilities for revolutionary people and fighters for 30 years. He also financially supported the revolutionary people during those 30 years. He paid majority of expenses of the huge demonstrations in 1978. He was also in charge of majority of political charity activities as well as social services. . Martyr Beheshti, Professor Motahhari and Ayatollah Taleghani trusted him very much. Despite having enough money, he never bought a house for himself. After establishment of Islamic Republic Party, he was assigned as the financial manager of the party. He was martyred on June 28th 1981.

Martyr Sayed Mohammad Mousavifar

He was born in Neyshabour in 1958. His father was a believer clergyman. He actually learned the basic moral and scientific lessons from his father. He entered Mashad "Hozeh Elmieh" at the age of 13. Soon after that he joined the combatant clergymen. He participated in the demonstrations on first days of the Islamic Revolution. He gave numerous lectures in villages around Mashad. He joined Islamic Republic Party after the victory of the Islamic Revolution. He carried out valuable activities in the party. He was martyred on June 28th 1981.
