The Scientist who Became an Exemplar of Jihad and Martyrdom

The Pioneers of Jihad and Martyrdom Assembly of Soosangerd Battle on the threshold of martyrdom anniversary of commander martyr Dr. Mustafa Chamran issued a statement titled ‘Chamran, the Manifestation of Science and Jihad’ and this statement has been mentioned bellow:

The art is that without political arguments and devil glaring to fight for God and to sacrifice ourselves in this way, in fact it is the art of God’s men. But let us ask this question, can we have such an art? “From the message of Imam Khomeini on the martyrdom anniversary of martyr Chamran”?

June 20 reminds us of a great man’s martyrdom whose biography has been considered as a manifestation and model for all the persons specially the young generation and those who are seeking Islamic identity.

There is no doubt that talking about different dimensions of Mustafa Chamran’s biography who has been a great person is really difficult; because gathering tears and irons as a Sufi and Mujahid at the same that the he was an artist with a sensitive spirit and by having excellent politics in one person seems to be approximately impossible.

Discussing the characteristic of martyr Dr. Mustafa Chamran from education time and university and getting excellent degree in electro mechanic from Tehran Technical College and getting excellent degree of PhD in the field of Electronics and Plasma Physics (Nuclear) among the most famous scientists of the world and the most popular universities of the United States of America (Berkeley) and getting the post of university professor in the universities of the United States of America and moving to Algeria, Egypt and Lebanon during some Guerila wars and having cooperation with some of the regional rebels specially the freedom seeking organization of Palestine and stationing in Lebanon along with Imam Musa Sadr and establishing the organization “The Deprives Movement”? and organizing the Shiites in this organization and its military branch titled ‘Amol Movement’ for the purpose of creating the independency identity and self-sufficiency of Lebanon’s deprived Shiites that gradually were changed to a superior belief and military power in the region has been considered as something great.

On the other hand, returning to Iran after the victory of Islamic Revolution and being appointed as the deputy of interim government and having an active presence in commandership of suppressing the anti-revolutionary militants of Paveh and Kurdistan as an experienced guerilla and experienced commander and then being appointed as the deputy of Defense Ministry and organizing the modern Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the other valuable activities and at the same time presence in the first round of the Islamic Parliament as an elected candidate by the people of Tehran were all the dimensions and positions of this martyr of Science and Jihad (martyr Chamran).

But the peak of greatness and life full of honor and pride of this respectful martyr of Jihad is related to his presence in the battlefields of Iran-Iraq war era. He went to the battlefields of Iran-Iraq war along with the Grand Ayatollah Khamenei on September 26. they were dispatched to the battlefields as the representatives of Imam Khomeini from the Defense Excellence Council. He created the irregular wars and he attended the battlefields of Karkheh Noor, Dob Hardan, he was the designer and champion of Soosangerd and launching some military and guerilla operations in the irregular wars not only stopped the enemy, but also they did some surprise attack against the enemy and they forced the enemy to retreat as well.

This great and Mujahid scientist played a significant role to break the siege of Soosangerd on November 17, 1980 which caused his leg to be injured. Also he did many sacrifices during the military operation ‘Imam Ali (AS)’ which took place in order to push back the enemy from the mountainous areas of Allah O Akbar. Eventually this respectful man was martyred in 1981 in Dehlaviyeh (Soosangerd) and he joined his martyred comrade and he got relaxed from the pains and suffering of this world.

Imam Khomeini through a message for the martyrdom of this great scientist and scholar of science and Jihad said: “The respectful Chamran reached his real ambition that was martyrdom because he had a pure belief in God. He started his Jihad and great divine responsibility from the beginning of life and he ended it by his martyrdom. He stepped in the life of knowledge, continuity and light of God and he fought in the way of Jihad and he sacrificed his life in this way as well. He lived so respectfully and he was martyred respectfully as well.”?
