Cleric Martyr Ahmad Babayee Mamshi was born in 1971 in one of the villages of Savadkuh city located in Mazandaran province. His family was a pious and religious family. Since his father’s job was in Qom city, he passed his childhood in this holy city. He was grown up near the shrine of Ah Beit (AS) gradually.
Since his childhood, a special innocence could be seen in his face. Although he was too young, but he would do his religious duties so well and he would go to the mosques and religious centers so actively. He played a significant role in attending the protests which would be raised against Shah’s regime along with his father.
Martyr Babayee started his education at the same time of Islamic Revolution. After the victory of Islamic Revolution, he moved to Tehran due to the job of his father and he continued his education in the guidance school ‘Ersahd’.
In addition of continuing his education, he was a member of Basij as well. He would cooperate with Basijis for the purpose of progressing his knowledge. After awhile he went to Qom to learn religious lessons. He started his religious education in the Resalat seminary located near the shrine of Her Excellency Fatemeh Masoomeh (S).
The martyr cleric Ahmad Babayee was really intelligent and talented specially in learning the seminary lessons. He was one of the followers of Imam Khomeini and Islamic Guardianship.
This respectful martyr had some features such as belief, nightly worshipping, believing in religious affairs, the consultation and helping poor people During the Imposed War Era, he was dispatched to the battlefields several times since the time that he was 16 years old.
In a section of the testament of this respectful martyr that has addressed the Hezbollah Nation we can read:
“Our nation shows its support for Islam, revolution and Imam Khomeini by active presence in the Friday prayers and protests. The nation which has martyrs should not be indifferent towards the cruel persons. I would like to say to the nation that they should stand against these cruel persons in a way that it deserves for a revolutionary Muslim.”?
The martyr cleric during his final dispatch was sent to Halabja war zone and after the chemical bombardments which were directed against Halabja city by the Iraqi Baathis regime, he attended the military operation ‘Valfajr 10’. He was surrounded by the enemy for a week. Eventually he was martyred on Friday, March 25, 1988 in a war zone named Dishan located in Seyed Sadegh city. He drank the sweet taste of martyrdom when a quiver hit his body.
The pure body of this respectful martyr was buried in the public cemetery of Savadkuh city.
