A Commemoration to be Held for Martyr Zeynoddin and 6000 Martyrs from Qom Province

According to Navideshahed quoting Mehr News Agency, the commander of the Ali Ebn Abitaleb Corps on Saturday evening in an exclusive interview with the reporters announced that the 18th commemoration of martyr major general Mehdi Zeynoddin and 6000 martyrs from Qom province will be held on November 18 in Qom province and he said: “The event will take place on November 18, 2011 which is the martyrdom anniversary of martyr major general Mehdi Zeynoddin, the commander of the Army 17 of Ali Ebn Abitaleb (AS).”?

Commander Mehdi Mahdavi Nezhad stated that holding this commemoration is for the purpose of honoring the remembrance and memory of martyrs, promoting the culture of sacrifice and martyrdom, strengthening the morale of martyrdom and martyrdom seeking and compiling and advertsing the Basiji culture.”?

He added: “So for these purposes, the works of the martyrs of the province have been collected and arranged. So illustrating these works and also the path and behavior of martyrs by using modern media instruments in the media, cyber, cultural and artistic fields are really significant for the young generation of our country during the commemoration.”?

He at the continuation of his words pointed out to this issue that honoring the martyrs and glorifying their position is a natural duty for all of us and he stipulated: “The Iranian supreme leader also emphasized that we must honor the remembrance and memories of martyrs and the importance of this work is not less than martyrdom. Also today the Islamic awakening has occurred in the some of the Muslims countries due the blessing of martyrs’ blood.”?

Mahdavi Nezhad at the end of his speech referred to the time and place for holding the commemoration and he said: “The commemoration will be held on November 18 at the same time of evening and night prayer in the cultural & artistic center of Imam Khomeini, located near the martyrs cemetery titled ‘Ali Ebn Abitaleb’ located in Qom province. The lecturer of this commemoration is the secretary of the Guardian Council, Ayatollah Janati.”?
