Al-Qaeda-linked group in Lebanon threatens Hezbollah

Navideshahed- An al-Qaeda-linked group has issued a threat against the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah.

The group, called the al-Nusra Front in Lebanon, said in a statement posted online on Friday that it would continue attacks against the resistance movement.
Hezbollah’s “bases and... bastions are legitimate targets for us, wherever they are,\\\" the statement read.
The militant group’s statement came three days after it claimed responsibility for a car bomb attack that killed four people and injured many others in the Haret Hreik area in the southern suburbs of Beirut.
The Lebanese capital has been hit by several deadly bomb attacks over the past few months.
At least 25 people, including Iran’s cultural attaché to Beirut Hojjatoleslam Ebrahim Ansari, were killed and more than 150 others injured in November after two explosions struck near the Iranian Embassy in southern Beirut.
Another al-Qaeda-linked group, Abdullah Azzam Brigades, claimed responsibility for the twin bomb attacks.
