Martyrs in Golestan Province Will Be Compiled by the End of Year
TEHRAN, (SCIB) –The encyclopedia of names of martyrs of Golestan Province will be compiled by the end of Iranian year (March 2008), General Director of Studies and Research Office of “Martyr Foundation and Isargaran Affairs” announced to the reporter of NavideShahed.
Jalil Safari attended an exclusive interview with NavideShahed reporter and said: “The sixth volume of encyclopedia of names of martyrs of Islamic Revolution and sacred defense will become ready for publishing by March 2008. It includes brief and documentary biographies of 3909 martyrs of Golestan Province. The information regarding 1701 martyrs of this province has been collected by now.” Safari further said: “The information which is collected in this encyclopedia is precise, scientific, up-to-date and conformed with standards of writing encyclopedias. Major information regarding each martyr in this encyclopedia includes followings: “Report regarding martyrs’ economic and, social background, the way they were martyred and the body injury which resulted in their martyrdom, military rank, and education, specific specializations, being military or non-military.” Our major sources for compiling the encyclopedia have been namely: Obtaining information from martyrs’ families, his companions during war and files existing in “Martyr Foundation and Isargaran Affairs”. Encyclopedia of names of martyrs of Islamic Revolution and sacred defense in different provinces such as Kordestan, Boushehr, Hormozgan and Semnan will be also ready to be published by March 2008. The encyclopedia of names of martyrs of Kermanshah Province has been already published, Safari, General Director of Studies and Research Office of “Martyr Foundation and Isargaran Affairs” concluded.
