In Presence of Hashemi Rafsanjani,Honoring Ceremony Will Be Held for Hojat-Ol-Eslam Jami, Former Imam Jomeh of Abadan
TEHRAN, (SCIB) – An honoring ceremony will be held for Hojat-Ol-Eslam Jami, the former imam jomeh (Chief Mullah to say Friday prayers) of Abadan concurrent with the “Sacred Defense Week” and anniversary of breaking siege of Abadan.
This ceremony will be held in presence of a number of state and army officials and Hojat-Ol-Eslam Hashemi Rafsanjani in the hall of IRIB International Congresses on Wednesday, September 26th, 2007. Hojat-Ol-Eslam Hashemi Rafsanjani will give a lecture in this ceremony. Dr. Abbas Khamehyar, Deputy Head of “Research and Cultural Relations Department” of “Martyr Foundation and Isargaran Affairs” announced the news and said: “In order to appreciate and honor fights and bravery of Hojat-Ol-Eslam Jami, former representative of Imam Khomeini and former Imam jomeh of Abadan during the sacred defense, during the time Abadan was laid siege by Ba’th enemy in particular, an honoring ceremony will be held during the “Sacred Defense Week”. “Martyr Foundation and Isargaran Affairs”, “Policy Making Council of imam jomeh”, management of “Hozeh Elmieh Ghom” (Hozeh Elmieh is the most important religious school in Iran), IRIB, Tehran Municipality, Hozeh Honari of Islamic Propagation Organization, “The Army of the Guardians of the Islamic Revolution”, Ministry of Oil, Mostazafan Foundation and a number of combatants of sacred defense will hold the mentioned ceremony.” This honoring ceremony aims at propagating and remembering the culture of isar and martyrdom and transferring it to the future generations, making a deep connection between beliefs and values and valuable achievements of Islamic Revolution, registering and recording the glorious history of sacred defense and knowledge of the third generation regarding the important and outstanding role of clergymen -chief mullahs for saying public prayers in particular in the critic times of defending the dignity of our nation, Dr Abbas Khamehyar added. Dr. Abbas Khamehyar further referred to activities which will be carried out parallel with this honoring ceremony as follows: production of the video clip of “Hidden Tear”, production of a TV documentary in two episodes and arrangement for broadcasting it from Channel One of IRIB, publishing two titles of books and publishing memories of Hojat-Ol-Eslam Jami for the second time, focusing on biography of Hojat-Ol-Eslam Jami in Mehr Month Edition of Shahed Yaran Magazine (The issue for September- October), interview with his friends and companions and installing boards in Tehran.
