Holy Defense Story Books to be Presented at Frankfurt Book Fair
Navideshahed: Andishevarzan Research Center will be attending the 64th Frankfurt International Book Fair presenting 13 book titles; most of which are Holy Defense stories.
The Head of the Andishevarzan Research Center said: “Our culture along with the events of the Islamic Revolution has many interesting absorptions and it will attract many readers in the literature panel of the 64th Frankfort International Book Fair.”
The manager of Andishevarzan Research Center Amir Shahryar Aminian said: “The center will present 7 Holy Defense (1980-88 Iran-Iraq war) book titles at the 64th Frankfurt International Book Fair.”
The works have been selected from a collection titled ‘The Unforgettable’ with the titles of ‘The 12th hour’, ‘Passionate path’, ‘Black and White’, ‘Kak Reza’, ‘Blood Orange’, ‘Mud Kites’ and ‘The River Tears’ and the novel ‘Jamil’.”
He continued: The series ‘The Unforgettable includes some short stories regarding the Holy Defense which have been compiled by the authors and war veterans of this field.
The manager of Andishevarzan Research Center in response to this question that why from 10 series volume only 7 book titles are taken to the Frankfort International Book Fair said: “These works have been selected based on the comments of experts and on the other hand, these books will be welcomed more in comparison to the other books.”
Aminian that considers the Frankfort book fair as a good market to introduce different techniques and narrations regarding the books said: “We have been only a visitor in this book fair for 12 years, but during the past two years we have a booth there too. Such fairs can lead us how to open our ways in the foreign markets.”
He regarding the readers and fans of the Holy Defense works in the Frankfort book fair added: “ According to the emails and received letters, we have got informed regarding the interests of individuals regarding the books. But entering this market needs more and special investments, therefore the publisher can get more knowledge about the market according to the time and the product which will be presented in the booth will be exactly what the readers and visitors are interested in.”
In order to introduce the works we had to present perfect abstracts; Iranian and Islamic culture enjoys many attractions besides the Islamic Revolution’s events accordingly they should be introduced perfectly for being accepted in the world and find their ways in the international literature section, he noted.
He added: “In the Frankfort book fair, a summary of the Andishevarzan Research Center books will be presented in a way that the professional readers, publishers and the literary agencies to get familiar with the concepts of the books.”
Besides the war stories, other books including “Diplomacy according to prophet Mohammad(SA)” as well as works of old literature like Asrar- nama (The Book of Secrets), Mosibat-nama (Book of affliction), “Sharaf nama”(The book of Sharaf) and Haft Paykar (The Seven Beauties) will be presented.
The 64th Frankfurt International Book Fair is slated for October 10-14, 2012.
