Iranian, Rescuer of Wronged Bosnian People

Navideshahed: In 1992, the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina after the collapse of Yugoslavia, following the referendum which yielded 68 percent participation, it was announced with 98% of yes voters to the independence of Bosnia.

The independence declaration was enough to make the Serbian racists to revolute in April 6, 1992 against the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina and to start a war against the people of this land.

The Serbs attacked the city of Sarajevo and other Bosnian Muslim cities, and they killed 300 thousand civilians in an unequal war. In addition to the killing that was a result of the war, thousands of defenseless women were raped violently and brutally in silence, repression, and even the supports of European countries and United States of America.

The massacre of eight thousand Muslims in July 1995 which took place with the support of the Dutch UN troops is a sample of the attack from the Serbs to Bosnia and Herzegovina. After the killing of men, the defenseless women and children were raped in this land. In the war years, the Islamic Republic of Iran assisted the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina based on the demand of supreme leader. Also Dr. Valayati during his speeches in a meeting that was held in Tehran Milad Tower regarding the Islamic Awakening revealed and disclosed a part of these realities.

Dr. Valayati in his speeches said: “At the beginning of Ayatollah Khamenei’s leadership, he asked me to go to him and then he told me that he has faced with back ache for a while. I think this pain is due to the news that I have heard from Bosnia events. I want you to support the people of Bosnia, otherwise we will be asked about this issue on doomsday. When the supreme leader issued this demand, we followed up the issue so seriously in a way that we were able to deliver guns and weapons to the people of Bosnia.”

Iran entered the war of Bosnia by sending some strong diplomats who had long term experiences in the field of assistance, negotiations ... Some of the diplomats that were sent to this war included martyr Rasool Heidari who directed assistance to the people of Bosnia. He was an educated person who was familiar with the foreign languages and he was a strong diplomat at the time of negotiations with the involved groups for the purpose of easing life for the surrounded people of Bosnia. He was a strategist commander and he would assist all the people of Bosnia including the Muslims, Christians and he negotiated during the nights and days in order to resolve the needs of people. He also lost his life in the assistance way as well.

The Bosnia’s war ended after 3 years when the forces of the United States of America and its European allied forces noticed that they don’t have the power to commit crimes in Bosnia according to the assistance of the Islamic Republic of Iran. So they ended the war by signing the Dayton peace agreement. But the most important condition that the United States of America stated for the Bosnian Muslim authorities to end attacks on Bosnian Serbs to the cities was the retreating of Iranian forces from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
