Holy Defense Documents to be Collected Internationally

Navideshahed: Based on an agreement which has been signed between the Islamic Republic of Iran’s National Library and Documentation Organization and the Science and Knowledge Research Center of Sacred Defense Era, the national library potential will be used in order to gather the documents related to the 8 year of Sacred Defense Era internationally.

According to Navideshahed quoting the Public Relations of Iranian National Library and Documents Organization, Isaac Salahi pointed out to the need of preserving documents related to the Sacred Defense Era and transferring them to the next generations of country and he added: “Holding 15 educational workshops related to oral history of the Sacred Defense Era in Iran’s National Library and Documentation Organization is a sign of seriousness of this organization in registering the Iran’s nation history.”

Hadi Morad Piri, the Head of Science and Knowledge Research Center of Sacred Defense Era also pointed out to some of the activities that have been done by the General Staff of Armed Forces in the educational and university field and he emphasized: “The history and chronology of war has been specialized in different countries of the world that that is why holding documents in the reasonable conditions is necessary.”

In the agreement which has been signed between the Islamic Republic of Iran’s National Library and Documentation Organization and Science and Knowledge Research Center of Sacred Defense Era, both side agreed to participate and cooperate in implementing the programs and activities of documentation center and the oral history of the Sacred Defense Era.”

Supporting and participation in the plan for gathering, arranging, preserving and exploiting the Sacred Defense documents is one of the potentials which exist mutually for the two abovementioned organizations and also cooperating in the field of educational and research activities related to the Sacred Defense documents, interaction and collaboration in presenting document services to the researchers and analysts of the Sacred Defense Era which are the other articles of this agreement.”

Also of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s National Library and Documentation Organization and Science and Knowledge Research Center of Sacred Defense Era to take part in the scientific and special meetings as well.

Based on this agreement, both sides were obliged to gather the oral history of the Sacred Defense Era from the tongue of outstanding army commanders and the national senior managers of Iran and then to release and publish them.

In one of the cooperation agreement provisions, the Islamic Republic of Iran’s National Library cooperates with the Documentation Organization and Science and Knowledge Research Center of Sacred Defense Era in the field of designing, developing, preserving and exploiting and educating the software system of the documents and they will exchange their experiences in this ground as well.
