Foreign Experts Analyze Khoramshahr Liberation Operation:

Khoramshahr, Iraq's "Stalingrad"

Navideshahed: Some of the foreign experts have compared the Iranian resistance in Khorramshahr with the resistance of Russians during the World War II in Stalingrad and they have named Khorramshahr city as Stalingrad.

According to Fars News Agency's sacrifice and martyrdom reporter, Tavana, the Islamic Republic newspaper three days ago had written about the comments of western experts regarding the great military operation ‘Khorramshahr Freedom’ based on the narration of Radio London:

The Iraqi Baathist forces during the final stages of the military operation ‘Beitol Moghadas’ due to lack of confidence about the movement direction of Iranian forces decided to leave Khorramshahr but not to lose Basra, so according to the thought of defending Basra, they lost Khorramshahr.

Within 9 months, the occupied lands of Iran were taken pack from the control of the Iraqi Baathist forces and during the amazing military operation ‘ Beitol Mohgadas’ or ‘Khorramshahr Conquest’ the final operations of the chain operations for freedom of Khorramshahr were launched.

Before this, Iraq due to the internal political situation of Iran and the result of the unsuccessful operations which took place in the autumn and winter of 1980 under the commandership of Bani Sadr was staying at complete negligence strategically and in fact the gravity point of the war had been ignored in a way that until summer of 1981 many of the Iraqi authorities were convinced that the Iranian government will be overthrown until the autumn of 1981.

By formation of freedom procedure of the occupied lands and eventually capturing Khorramshahr, once again the war of Iran and Iraq was under concentration of the world authorities in a way that all the opinions and analysis presented in this field had emphasized on this issue that the victory of Iran during the military operation ‘Beitol Moghadas’ is a turning point in the war of two countries and some of the other experts had compared the Iranian resistance in Khorramshahr with the resistance of Russians during the World War II in Stalingrad and they have named Khorramshahr city as Stalingrad.
