Iran to Introduce Imam Khomeini Global Awards

Navideshahed: Iran will introduce Imam Khomeini global awards in a near future.

According to the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO) Public Relations, the award will be presented annually to a maximum of two figures, which represent great cultural, political and social currents in the world, the secretary of the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution said.

The charter the award was approved in the meeting of the council on Tuesday.

The Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology, the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, the Iranian Academy of Sciences, the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, and the Institute for the Compilation and Publication of Imam Khomeinis Works are the main organizers of the award.

The winners, which will be selected by a jury composed of 11 to 15 members, will be announced annually during a ceremony on January 31 that marks the anniversary of Imam Khomeinis return from years of exile in France in 1979.
