British Muslims Protest Pakistani Shiites Massacre
Navideshahed: Pakstani Embassy in Knightsbridge, Central London where hundreds of protestors have gathers from ascross the United Kingdom to show their anger and disgust at the recent Shia Killings in Pakistan…
The protest is very peaceful and the protestors are hoping their voices are heard by the Pakistan Embassy officials as the sectarian violence towards the Shia Muslims is unbelievable and now target killings have started.
“What is going on in Pakistan is absolutely shocking, innocent people are being killed for their religious beliefs!” said Hashim Qureshi a protestor who travelled from Northampton to London for the protest.
Another protestor from Wales who especially booked a coach and brought members of his community from Wales down said: “I have come from Wales with my friends and family to stand up against the hate and killings of innocent Shias in Pakistan, this is not right and the Pakistani Government need to do something about this.”
The reason behind todays protest is due to the killing of Shia Muslims in Pakistan by terrorists.
It is well documented that in Gilgit Chilas, Pakistan 27 buses were stopped and the ID cards of the passengers on board were checked to see if their names indicated that they follow the Shia school of thought.
“The way in which the followers of the Ja’fari Madhhab were then slaughtered cannot be described in words,” said Tahir Kazmi from London.
He went on to say: “Some had their hands and feet tied, after which they were thrown into a river to drown, some were stoned to death, whilst others were subjugated to treatment unbefitting animals before being butchered.”
In the Gilgit incident so far 6 bodies have been returned whilst the whereabouts of over 150 of the dead bodies remains unknown.
The protestors in London are shocked as to how the media has been banned from entering the area by the interior minister and the chief minister of the region, and as such, the atrocities being committed are not widely reported.
A curfew has also been placed on Gilgit where the massacre took place.
The lives of over 2000 innocent people have been taken in Pakistan over the recent years; their only crime has been following the Ja’fari Madhhab.
Mutilation, amputation, beheadings and the scourging of victims’ eyes are just some of the ways in which innocent people have been tortured into an agonizing death, for no other crime than following the school of Ahlulbayt.
