In the memory of 30 August Martyrs:
Outstanding Aspects of the Life of President Martyr Mohammad Ali Rajaei
Navideshahed: In the evening of August 30, 1981, the session of National Security Council was held in the prime minister office with presence of the president, prime minister and some of the military authorities. At 3:00 PM a dreadful explosion sound was heard from the prime minister office. During this terrorist attack some of the loyal authorities of the revolution including Rejayee and Ba Honar were martyred.
According to Navideshahed, martyr Mohammad Ali Rejayee was born in 1933 in Qazvin province. His father passed away in 1937. He accomplished his elementary education under the guardianship of his brother in the same city. He came to Tehran city at the age of 14. He worked in Tehran’s market for a long period of time. After that at the age of 17 he joined the Air Force. When he got familiarized with Ayatollah Taleghani and Islamic sacrificers, he got much knowledge about the accurate Islamic academy.
He took part in the sessions of Islamic Sacrificers and he learnt something that caused he resigns from the air force in 1953 and this event took place simultaneously with his diploma qualification. After that he became a teacher and started teaching in Bijar city. He did not abandon this job except the years that he was imprisoned. During his education in the University, he continued his political activities as well.
Getting familiar with Engineer Bazargan and Dr. Sobhani was a result of the same years. In 1960, he became a mathematics teacher for Khansar high schools. After that he continued his education and got his master degree in the field of Statistics. Then he was a teacher in Kamal School of Tehran city. After that he was shifted to Qazvin city. He was arrested in 1963 due to sharing the announcements and magazines of freedom party in Qazvin city and then he was imprisoned. After the imprisonment, he and Mr. Bahonar and Jalal Al-Din Farsi established a group that was active in the political and cultural fields. The group was named Welfare and Islamic Cooperative Foundation.
Establishment of welfare school was the work of this group that was done by cooperation of many of the combatants who wished to continue the movement of June 5.
From 1970, when Jalal Al-Din Farsi left Iran to establish Gurilla groups, martyr Rejayee was a liaison for him and the members of group inside the country. He went to Damascus once to exchange information with him too.
The efforts of Rejayee in prison to specify the territories and boundaries of Mujahedeen Khalgh perspectives and Marxists was not followed with useful results; after a year he was taken to Palace prison and he stayed in this prison for a year.
During Ghadir celebration in 1978 he was freed due to the continuous conflicts of Muslims. He tolerated the bad taste of prison and tortures for four years.
After freedom from prison, he joined the Islamic Society Movement of Teachers and he cooperated with this group until the victory of Islamic Revolution. During the days between February 1 and February 11 he was appointed as an authority to do some commissions in the Committee to Welcome Imam Khomeini in Refah School. After the victory of the Islamic Revolution, he became a councilor for the Minister of Education. After the cabinet resignation, he was firstly appointed as surety and then as the minister of education. He played an important role to educate the second generation. Later he became a member of the Islamic Parliament. During Bani Sadr presidency that the issue of electing a prime minister became so significant, Rejayee was elected as the prime minister by the people. The disputes of Bani Sadr and Rajayee started for electing the members of the cabinet and this issue caused that Rejayee faces with a plenty number of problems from the beginning of his difficult responsibility. The start of the imposed war era was a big problem in the way of the cabinet. But since Rejayee had been taught by Imam Khomeini, he was so strong against the problems and he was able to solve many of the problems. When the real face of Bani Sadar as an anti-revolutionary man was clear, Rejayee became a candidate for the presidency election. So he was elected as president by the votes of 13 million people from 14 millions. Dr. Mahmoud Bahonar the friend of Rejayee was appointed as his prime minister and he was introduced to the Islamic parliament and then he got the vote of confidence by the Islamic parliament as well.
The brutal and hired militants of the United States of America who were not able to bear the capability of this worthy man, they provided a reasonable condition to assassinate him.
