It was February 1st, 1919 that a child was born in “Fariman”. He was named Morteza. Morteza went to “Hozeh Elmieh” as a clergyman 13 years later. He returned to Ghom to continue education in 1937. He participated at classes of great and knowledgeable clergymen such as Imam Khomeini, Ayatollah-ol- ozma Boroujerdi and Allameh Seyed Mohammad-hossein Tabatabayee. He moved to Tehran in 1952. At this time he started to teach in Faculty of Theology in Tehran University. He started to cooperate with Islamic societies and religious gatherings at that time. He was arrested and imprisoned in June 1963. After one year and following the decision made by Imam Khomeini, he started working with “Motalefeh Eslami Association”. He established “Hosseinieh Ershad” of Tehran after a while. It was an effective step towards absorbing and organizing the youth. He issued an announcement in which he had asked people to collect financial aids for Palestinian evacuees. He was arrested and imprisoned in 1969 due to that announcement. The regime prohibited Motahhari from giving lectures in gatherings in 1975. it was due to the danger that government felt about him. Two years later in 1977 Motahhari established “Jame-e Rouhaniat Mobarez of Tehran”. He traveled to Paris in 1978. During this journey he was assigned by Imam Khomeini to establish “Islamic Revolution Council”. He was martyred by “Forghan” Group on May 1st 1979. May his memory be eternal!
