Title : Sleep (dream) and wakefulness

I was responsible for an artillery rifles in Larak Island in 1984. One night I went to bed because of fatigue. I had a dream that we were in our village “Kheij”. The army music group was forward and many people were moving behind them. One coffin was carried with my brother and cousin’s pictures in the middle of its wreath. I woke up with a start and performed my ablutions, and prayed. But I couldn’t sleep any more. After breakfast, I spilled some bread for the birds as charity.
An hour passed, I wrote a letter to a seat commander and mentioned that I haven’t gone on leave for 50 days. I had dreamt last night and now I am so disturbed and distressed. He gave me some days off. When I arrived at the village, (as it was feast custom and tradition to the New Year) my mother was cooking feast pastry. At noon, the TV Reported fighters had advance in the war fronts.
Two days later, the army informed our family the martyrdom of two martyrs. The ceremonies were passed off. In addition to Islamic Republic flag, there were two pictures on the coffin that one of which was my brother‘s picture who had been missed (lost) in Badr operations and the other one belonged to my cousin who had been suffered martyrdom. I had seen all these scenes in my dream in Larak Island that night.
